Import Emailed Hand Histories

Overview:

How do I import Hand Histories I get through email?

Solution:

Poker Sites can send Hand Histories as an attachment or in the body of an email.  See below for directions on both.

Hand Histories as Attachment

Hand Histories in Body of Email

Hand Histories as Attachment

If you received Hand Histories as an attachment through email, follow these steps to import them into Holdem Manager:

  1. Unzip the files to a folder on your desktop.  Note this location.

  1. Open Holdem Manager and click on the Import tab.

Note: If you have Auto Import running and the Import File(s) button is grayed out, click on Stop Import.

  1. Click on Import Files(s). A Select Files to Import dialog will pop up.

  1. Navigate to the location where you unzipped the files to.  (Desktop)

Your hand histories are now imported into Holdem Manager.

Note:  If the hands failed to import or you had import errors, try downloading Notepad++ and follow the same steps above.  You may need to change Notepad++ Settings > Preferences > New Doccument tab to UTF-8.

Hand Histories in Body of Email

If you received the hand histories in the body of the email and not as an attachment, follow these steps:

  1. On your desktop, right click.   New / Text Document.

  1. Now copy and paste the hand history from the email body into the Notepad file and save the file as anything you want, but make sure you put .txt at the end of the name. For example, if you want to call the file handhistory then name it handhistory.txt and save it to a folder and remember the location you saved it as you’ll need it shortly.

  1. Open Holdem Manager and click on the Import tab.

Note: If you have auto import running and the Import File(s) button is grayed out, click on Stop Import.

  1. Click on Import Files(s) and now navigate to the location where you just saved the handhistory.txt file to.

Your hand history is now imported into Holdem Manager.

Note:  If the hands failed to import or you had import errors, try downloading Notepad++ and follow the same steps above.  You may need to change Notepad++ Settings > Preferences > New Doccument tab to UTF-8.
