Backup & Restore Database

Overview:

How do I backup and Restore my HM1 Database?  (Try our new Backup/Restore utility.  Click Here)

Note: This FAQ is intended for Advanced PC Users Only!!!

Note:  Before backing up and restoring a Database, backup your current Hand History files as a safeguard! If you've been archiving your Hand Histories they should be easily accessible; if not, Export your Hand Histories from your current Database first so you always have a backup.

Note:  To increase the chance of this working, make sure you install the same version of PostgreSQL that housed your old database.

Note:  Never restore a DB .backup file that was created with PGAdmin into a new DB that was created by the HM DB Control Panel.  If it was backed up with PGAdmin, it must be restored with PGAdmin.

Restoring Your Database
