Overview:
A lot of graphics and crash issue can be related to the graphics card, as new technology is released it causes bugs with the graphics card driver and so Nvidia and other companies release updates to fix these issues. This shows how to find out the name of your graphics card so then you can search for a new driver.
Solution:
The following process works in XP,Vista and Windows 7, your pictures may vary slightly but overall it will be pretty similar
Click on the start menu then "run" (Windows Vista does not have RUN in Start Menu by default, but you can easily access it by pressing “Windows” + “R” keys simultaneously or typing run in Start > Search)
then type "dxdiag" in the window and hit enter. You may get a prompt at this stage, you can select Yes for this.
On the "display" tab (1) it will tell you the name of your graphics card (2).
If it says Nvidia go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.asp…
If it says ATI go here:
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
and download the drivers for your model card and the operating system you have.
If its none of the above you can try googling "download driver (name of the graphics card)"
