What is PostgreSQL and why do I need it to use Holdem Manager?

PostgreSQL is 3rd Party database management software allowing Holdem Manager to save and store Hand History files.  Holdem Manager uses these Hand History files to provide Users with detailed statistics on themselves and their opponents inside of Holdem Manager.

Note:  PostgreSQL must be installed and working for Holdem Manager to work.

When Holdem Manager and PostgreSQL are working together they talk with each other through a "Network" on your PC.
